Presented by:
Julie Norton, LMFT

Julie Norton will build on last month’s SC-CAMFT session by Finn V. Gratton with the theme of Co-Regulating in Crisis. The session is co-hosted by Rami J. Vissell, Ph.D., LMFT and SC-CAMFT Leadership Circle.
Session Goals
- Participants will have meaningful, connected opportunity to experience a Zoom version of World Cafe.
- Participants will practice somatic activities based on understanding of the polyvagal system to down-regulate activation and increase connection.
- Participants will develop capacity to share these strategies in their capacity as mental health providers.
Purpose
Understanding of the neurobiology of awareness, activation, and connection provides a basis for directly and physically down-regulating from fight, flight, and freeze activation, and moving into soothing and healing connection. This session will provide participants with a felt experience of down-regulation and greater ease in connection with the world and others. These practices can be shared with clients both online and in-person.
